Overview
Shannon Hudson and Johan den Toom, former Razorback tennis players and Arkansas alumni, have launched Matrix Club, a multifaceted 10-acre facility in Northwest Arkansas.
Their journey began with a shared passion for tennis during their collegiate careers, evolving into a relationship and a mutual interest in business and wellness.
After identifying a gap in the local sports and wellness market, they expanded their vision beyond tennis to include pickleball, padel, and boutique fitness studios, namely The CAGE (HIIT), The FLOW (yoga), and The AMP (cycle).
Their project aims to rejuvenate the Arkansas wellness scene, creating a comprehensive campus for community members to enjoy a variety of racquet sports and fitness activities.
Accessibility
Matrix Club operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sundays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The campus features 42 racquet sport courts, including 6 outdoor and 6 indoor championship tennis courts, 3 outdoor padel courts, 12 pickleball courts (4 outdoor, 8 indoor), 7 orange ball courts (4 outdoor, 3 indoor), and 4 outdoor red ball courts.
Additionally, it houses 3 boutique fitness studios (the AMP, the CAGE, the FLOW), locker rooms, a Snackbar, a Cafe, a Shop, the Lawn, and a Fit3D Biometric Scanner, all supported by exceptional coaches and staff.

Fees
Matrix Club offers various racquet membership options:
- Individual: $129/month
- Family: $219/month (for two adults sharing the same household and their unmarried children under 19)
- 65+: $119/month
- Junior: $55/month (for children under 19)
- College: $99/month (for full-time students with 12 credit enrollment verification)
All memberships have an initiation fee equivalent to one month's membership rate.
Members who pre-pay for a year receive one month free. Cancellation requires a 30-day written notice.
Services
Starting Spring 2024, Matrix Club will offer padel clinics on Saturdays, aimed at both new and current players.
These clinics, led by Johan, are designed to introduce beginners to the game and provide intermediate players with tips to improve their skills.
Pricing for the clinics is set at $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
