Overview

Taktika Racquet Sports operates iconic Padel and Pickleball facilities across California, including locations at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Dignity Health Sports Park with MLS LA Galaxy in Los Angeles, and the University of the Pacific campus in Stockton. Dedicated to personal development both on and off the court, Taktika aims to promote youth participation and proper training to expand the game of Padel throughout California. They focus on safe, disciplined training and fostering a love for the game.

Their philosophy centers on building a community where individuals can connect and strive to become the best versions of themselves, with a goal to add 200 Padel courts in California and cultivate future American Padel professionals.

The coaching team is led by Head Coach/Director Armando Rodiel, a Valencia, Spain native with over 15 years of Padel coaching experience and significant contributions to the sport's growth in California and the U.S. Coaches at the San Diego location include Pablo Gabilondo, an international Padel instructor from San Sebastián, Spain, and Sebastian Castañeda, a recent player for the U.S. National Junior team with certifications in Padel coaching.

In San Diego, rental rates per person vary by time and day:

8:00 am - 12:00 pm: $8.00 for 60 min, $10.00 for 90 min

Services

Lessons and Clinics

Lessons and clinics are available with pricing per person as follows:

Coach (1 person): $80 for an individual lesson, $450 for 6 classes, $700 for 10 classes.
Head Coach (1 person): $100 for an individual lesson, $575 for 6 classes, $900 for 10 classes.
For 2 people: $50 each per hour, $270 each for 6 classes, $400 each for 10 classes.
For 3 people: $35 each per hour, $195 each for 6 classes, $300 each for 10 classes.
For 4 people: $150 total for a 4-week clinic duration.
Individual Package: $65 per hour, $350 for 6 classes, $585 for 10 classes.

Prices are per player per hour. Class cancellations require 24 hours' notice, or the class is considered taken. Payment must be made in advance at the front desk, and the receipt given to the coach.

School

The Taktika Padel Academy offers comprehensive padel programs for all ages and abilities, emphasizing a love for the game and personal goal achievement. Training is available year-round at their iconic facilities, with a focus on learning the game the "Taktika way." Their approach starts with fundamental principles, emphasizing technical mastery of strokes for injury prevention and skill advancement, and includes the practical application of skills in real-game scenarios. Training is tailored to groups of four with similar skill levels.

Objectives are set by level:

Beginner: Focus on fundamental strokes and Padel basics.
Intermediate: Refine strokes, introduce challenging shots, and evolve tactically.
Advanced: Enhance decision-making skills and real-game situation handling.

Player placement is determined by a Padel Rating to ensure compatibility in skill levels, necessary for league, tournament, and event participation. Monthly clinic costs are $180 for one day per week or $320 for two days per week, with benefits including a pro shop discount, tournament coaching, and a personalized plan with video analysis.

The Junior Academy caters to ages 4 to 14, aiming to instill fun, teach valuable life lessons, and develop skills transferable on and off the court, like reflexes and sportsmanship. Group placement is by age, with adjustments made by the director's approval.
